July Client of the Month

Congratulations to Jacob Lamarche for being nominated Co-Movements July client of the month! The #1 characteristic that Jacob brings to the table is his CONSISTENCY. The gym will be empty at 8:00 at night and the lights will pop on, its Jacob. Sunday morning, its Jacob. He puts the work in no matter if he is working overtime, working night shift or not "feeling up to it". And as a result he has seen tremendous benefits. Jacobs work capacity has skyrocketed since joining our community. Here is his last workout he completed...... (side note: he walked away smiling and 100% in control)

Row 500 meters hard

60 second farmers carry 70's

8 burpees

(x 3)

rest 8 MINUTES after completing the 3 sets above then proceed....

How did you hear about Co-Movement?

Marshall Peck told me about Co-Movement

Tell us a little bit about your background and what brought you to Co-Movement, when did you start?

Ever since high school I've been going to the gym on and off, for most of my life I was overweight but when I left college to do my last internship I had lost most of it and I knew then that I didn't want to go back. When I got my first couple of jobs out of college I joined a local gym, although I did see some gains in these few years going to the gym it wasn't much so I knew when I moved back home I wanted to do something different.

What is your favorite music you listen to when you are moving?

Would have to be rap or rock.

Name one favorite meal or snack that you enjoy the most.

Chicken alfredo with broccoli and cauliflower rice.

What is your most memorable moment at Co-Movement?

Usually are the exercises that I struggle with the most at first even after a month of doing them, but when I come back to those exercises after not doing them for a few months they seem easy. Some of these exercises have been wall handstands, rope climb, and burpees, for me it is always the hardest workouts that prove the most satisfying when you meet your goal.

What would you tell someone looking at joining Co-Movement?

Whenever you are talking about joining a gym there are usually two main topics of conversation, one is what type of gym is it aka what style of workouts do they do. I get this question a lot from people that are interested in joining and i always tell them that Co-Movement is whatever you want it to be. It is truly an "all levels" and types gym, on any given day you can see someone that is in great shape pushing themselves as hard as they can to get better to an older person just trying to improve movement or even a newcomer just learning the basics. The second question I usually get is how is the environment there, and I tell them that I have never gone into the gym and not been greeted with a smiling face. You can always bet that you can have a fun and interesting conversation while you are working out  and the knowledge the staff has when it comes to diet and exercises is second to none.
