Weekly Workout:

The turkish get up is a movement defined by truth. You can either get up off the floor with the weight or you can not. No cheating or "strategies". Test #1

  • 1 repetition per arm, maximum weight with the turkish get up

rest 5 minutes Test #2

  • Row 5,000 meters- The beautiful thing about the aerobic energy system much like above, you can not trick it. You can either SUSTAIN the pace or you can not.

A very nice milestone for the turkish get up is 1/2 of your body-weight for males and 1/3 body-weight for females.

Quote I'm pondering :

"True success is not the absence of failure, it is the refusal to surrender". Lazarus Lake, race director of the Barkley Marathon

What I'm reading, listening, watching or eating: Shawn James and the Shapeshifters on Pandora has been my go-to training music for the past 6 months. Soulful and grungy.

Random:

Dag Aabye is an Ultra Marathon champion who lives completely off the grid, in a school bus near Vernon British Columbia. The best part... he is 76 years old. His slogan, "Never Die Easy".

Have an amazing weekend everyone!

Josh
